However, their parents play spoilsport and creates hindrance in their blossoming romance especially the Girl’s father. Initially Jessie will never accept that she is in love with Karthik. The couple knows that they hail from drastically different backgrounds (Hindu and Christian) but still they get attached to each. Karthik ( Naga Chaitanya) charms the role of charming rustic boy and woos Jessie (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) in the movie. While there is a liberal dose of emotion used in the film, it still manages to retain the interest of the viewers till the end. It still made the audience interesting because of the way the director handled the much used subject. There is nothing exceptional about the storyline of the movie. It’s a movie you can relax and let flow over you with a gentle smile on your face. It is one of the best films I have seen in this genre. Wow it’s Awesome it’s the Director – Music Director’s movie. An important point to mention here is the Music and the Script were in such sync that both helped each other, like we cannot think of any other song in any situation except that song which is being showed. There’s a well-defined beginning, middle, and end. Yemaya Chesave, It’s also one of the few films out there that tell a complete story. That said, this feel-good film is a must watch especially for those fond of love stories. After a very long time I saw a movie which made me feel good, made me think and remember the scenes in the movie again and again, still I am writing this review thinking of how good the movie is made and I bet that it will definitely leave a smile on your face till the end and even after.

So it will be difficult for non-Malayalam speaking people to understand them. Some dialogues in Malayalam don't even have sub-titles. The film tends to slow down here and there. Silambarasan and Trisha appear in cameos. The other characters barring Krishnudu (who is okay) have hardly lengthy roles to play to warrant a mention. Samantha, who makes her debut in Telugu with this film, is convincing in her role though her characterisation is a bit befuddling at times. Working with an experienced director like Gautham Menon has certainly helped Naga in his second outing. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are believable in their roles. Anthony's editing and Rajeevan art direction are also commendable. Some of the frames are almost picture-perfect postcards. Technically, the film is brilliant too. M Paramahamsa's camera work captures Alapuzha (Alleppey) very beautifully. In fact, the background score which is mellifluous and symphonic in many parts accentuates the romantic feel of the film. Rahman's poetic and romantic touch also helps.

Gautham Menon has woven a fairly good screenplay which holds the film and arrests the attention of the viewer. The fact that the heroine is older is quite reflective of the times today. It's yet another film which shows that love transcends religious boundaries, and here age too. The only hitch is she's a Malayalee Christian and two years older than him.

She lives in a flat above Karthik's parents. It's at this time that Jessie (Samantha) walks into his life. Karthik ( Naga Chaitanya) is at a stage of his life where he has finished his engineering and his parents want him to take up a job.
